Requirements

The following is subject to change until the first week of classes:

(Note: Students must complete all requirements to pass the course.)

Poetry assignment (15%)

Short written assignments (60%) — There will be three short (4–5 pp.) written assignments:

Written Assignment #1: Medieval genres and tropes (15%)
Written Assignment #2: Renaissance sonnets (20%)
Written Assignment #3: Narrative voice (25%)

Final exam (25%) — The final exam will cover material from all term. It will be closed book and take place during the exam period.
